Heads of IRS, FAA, and Indian ambassador resubmitted to the new Senate.
President Joe Biden renominated a number of his choices for key federal positions to the new Senate. Many of his picks stalled in last year’s Senate due to the even party split.
President Biden renominated Gigi Sohn, a former senior aide to the FCC chairman under President Obama’s administration, for the role of fifth and final board member of the Federal Communications Commission.
The president renominated Phil Washington as the administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration, who is currently the chief executive for the Denver International Airport.
President Biden has also renominated former Los Angeles mayor Eric Garcetti to serve as ambassador to India.
Potential leaders for the Internal Revenue Service, the Small Business Administration, and many other agencies have also been renominated for review by the Senate.
